Brand History

Gabor has its origins in 1919 when Pius Gabor opened a shoe and leather goods store in Groß-Strehlitz. In 1951, it became the first company in Germany to pre-process shoe soles using machines. In 1966, the company relocated to Rosenheim and then set up factories and expanded its business in many places across Europe.

Today, Gabor has evolved from a family-run business into a publicly listed company. As one of the large-scale footwear manufacturers in Europe, its products are sold in nearly 60 countries. It has over 600 exclusive stores and counters. Besides women’s shoes, it has also launched men’s shoes under the Pius Gabor brand, the Rollingsoft series of footwear, and the Gabor handbag collection.

Gabor has always adhered to the core concept of “crafting a pair of good shoes for women”. Every pair of shoes is designed and manufactured by the three standards of fashion, quality, and comfort, perfectly integrating these three elements. Gabor has extremely high requirements for quality and only selects top-grade leather materials and components. The production of a single pair of shoes requires 250 independent components, 45 different materials, and more than 140 processing steps.
