Clarks: Clarks is a globally famous footwear brand with a rich history. In 1825, Cyrus Clark and James Clark founded it in Somerset, southern England. Their first product, the “Brown Petersburg” sheepskin slippers made from carpet leftovers, was a huge success, starting Clarks’ remarkable journey.

Over the years, Clarks has been innovative. In 1851, it won two awards at the Great Exhibition for its sheepskin dyeing and long-rubber boots. In 1863, the factory system and Singer sewing machines allowed for large-scale production. The classic “Desert Boot” was launched in 1950, sparking a casual shoe trend. Now, Clarks’ business spans over 47 countries and regions with many stores worldwide.

In 2025, Clarks celebrated its 200th anniversary. It released a documentary, narrated by Yasiin Bey and directed by Set Free Richardson, about its growth from a small workshop to a global brand. A limited-edition book, “From Somerset to the World”, explored its visual history. Product-wise, inspired by the “Retro Snake Game”, it combined the Year of the Snake with retro console colour blocks, offering fashionable and comfortable 2025 footwear.

Unique Three-Piece Sole Technology: In 2015, Clarks launched the Trigenic three-piece shoe. The sole is composed of three completely independent parts and is equipped with an integrated large sole that is wrapped and adhered with a whole piece of soft cowhide. It can bend flexibly, mimic the walking posture, activate the natural walking state of the feet, and enable all-day comfortable walking. This design opened a new era of sole technology and redefined the comfort threshold of the feet. Plus+ Intelligent Foot Cushion Technology: This is the result of the cooperation between Clarks and top-notch biomechanical experts. It accurately locates from an anatomical perspective, can restore the sesamoid bones to their natural state, fit the toe joints, and provide comfortable support.

Active Air Interactive Air Cushion Technology: Developed in 1981, it is one of the core technologies of Clarks. The sole is sturdy and durable, the midsole is soft and comfortable, and there are air-flow pores on the insole. When the feet walk, air circulation can be generated, playing a role in shock absorption and ventilation. In 2008, it was further developed into interactive air-flow technology.

Flexlight Lightness Technology: It provides great lightness and comfort for daily foot movements. Its flexible structure combined with firm sewing technology makes the feet more flexible. The insole adopts ORTHOLITE breathable and antibacterial technology, and the unique curved groove design on the forefoot allows the feet to bend freely.

GORE-TEX® Waterproof and Breathable Technology: It uses GORE-TEX film. Each square centimetre consists of 9 billion small holes. These holes are 20,000 times smaller than water droplets and 700 times larger than steam molecules. It can not only allow the human body to naturally expel sweat vapour but also block the intrusion of external rain, snow, and cold wind, ensuring that the feet are dry and comfortable.
